If you are looking for family fun or unique adventurous vacation then check out the Suwannee River in North Florida. A boater's paradise and well kept secret among seasoned travelers and avid boaters. Anglers love to get to the fishin' hole quickly in the NO no wake zone hundred mile long navigable river. Speed boaters zoom by in the no speed limit smooth glassy waters where you will scarcely hit the wake of another boater. Away from the coastal beach crowds the river is a welcome refreshment in the summer heat. Fed by dozens of springs the Suwannee is highly protected and undeveloped. Skiers love the glassy, uncrowded conditions. Adventurers and kids love to go to Bobs River Place where our friend Bob has turned his riverfront property into a natural water park. The State of Florida owns most of the riverfront and that makes it both special and secluded from crowds. You will find few homes and very few rentals on this river because of its protected status. See the 'Real Florida' Come see what inspired Stephen Foster to write the state song 'Way Down upon the Suwannee River'. See our website for more info. A great place to stay. Very roomy and comfortable inside and very quiet and relaxing outside. The dock is great for fishing and sunning. Loved sitting by the fire in the evenings. Launched our kayaks from the property so that made it really convenient. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!
