The magical history of Northumberland is all waiting to be discovered just a short drive from Annie Oswalds with dominant castles and endless beaches all within easy reach. Located perfectly between the village of Belford and the scenic coastal village of Bamburgh, Adderstone is an attractive and accessible rural area, ideally positioned in the heart of the Northumbrian countryside. It’s perfect for those wishing to explore the many historic and iconic local sites nearby starting with Bamburgh; there is much to do in the village alongside the castle and its amazing history, there are impressive stretches of pure golden sandy beaches, many English tea rooms and restaurants, St. Aidan’s Church and a newly renovated museum dedicated to Grace Darling.
Why not hit the waves with a trip to the Farne Islands? Take a boat trip from Seahouses and see the medieval Pele Tower and Victorian Lighthouse, as well as the famous sea bird colony.
