Welcome to Once Upon a Tide - a beachfront retreat on Hood Canal where the water is right outside the windows and the Olympic Mountains sit across the canal.

This is a true waterfront stay, not "near the water". Wake up to the canal from both king bedrooms. Watch seals, otters, eagles, and the occasional whale from the living room or the covered deck. Low tide turns the beach into a wildlife show. High tide brings the water to your doorstep.

The house: Two spacious water-view bedrooms, each with a king bed and its own private bath. Open living/kitchen/dining with big windows and a covered deck for morning coffee and evening sunsets. Year-round heat and air conditioning. Fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, on-site parking and a Blackstone bbq grill.

Who is it for: Couples, two couples traveling together, or a small family that wants privacy and quiet instead of a 10-person party house. Sleeps 4.

The location: Belfair/south Hood Canal. Minutes to Twanoh State Park, Union River Wildlife Area, Lakland Village Golf Course, Gold Mountain Golf Course, Trophy Lake Golf Course, Horseshoe Lake Golf Course, Hood Canal Marina and a short drive to Alderbrook. About 80 munutes from Seatac.

Good to know: Hood Canal is tidal. Bring water shoes for the beach. Shellfish harvest is possible when WDFW season and water- quality notices allow - guests are responsible for licenses and current openings. Our rate includes the fees shown at check-out. No hidden junk fees.

The space: The beach house is 1524 sq ft. One king master bath has a shower/tub combo, the second king master has a walk-in shower. The downstairs has an electric fireplace to add ambiance in the winter. High speed internet/wifi. Parking accomodates at least 4 full-sized vehicles. The home is no bank waterfront. A gas fire pit is located on the beach.

We want this to feel like a storybook vacation on the water. That is why we named it Once Upon a Tide.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned vacation home, which features a fireplace and a Smart TV. There's a private balcony. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected.
