They charged me an extra ~$20/night, without breaking it out on the invoice, evidently for breakfast, though I had paid for breakfast (included in the price I chose). Plus, the actual charge to my credit card exceeded the total invoice by ~$70. I didn't realize these things until I returned home and did my receipts, converting from RMB to USD and checking my credit card statement.
I was staying one night. The hotel room was nice. The breakfast not so good, but they provide enough choices, so its ok. The area around the hotel is just perfect.
When I arrived at my hotel, they said they had no record of my booking and that the rooms I wanted were unavailable. I thus stayed in a room that was not as nice as the one Expedia had unsuccessfully booked, and paid $100 more than I had planned for. I will not be using Expedia again.
Tiny bathrooms, filthy carpets, negligent housekeeping, mediocre breakfast, and mostly, disrespectful and rude service from reception staff even if one us is Chinese and can speak Mandarin. NOT RECOMMENDED. AVOID! There are several much better options in the area.
