First, this motel was difficult to find because it was renamed from "Texan Inn" to "SureStay PLUS Hotel by BEST WESTERN" and both Google Maps and Expedia have not updated the name change yet.
Second, I was happy that my basic requirements were met: safe and quiet with working shower, air conditioner and TV.
And finally, however, there were several vital things missing that culminate in critical safety issues where I would not consider staying here again until they are fixed: 1) no smoke or fire detectors in the ceiling; 2) no metal fire sprinkler; 3) phone is inoperative; 4) toilet paper and roll were missing; and 5) drawer between the beds had no bottom so I was looking at the carpet when I opened it. And of a lesser nature, the soda machine on the first floor did not dispense my soda bottle when I paid $2.75 for it. (While the front desk did compensate me, the point is the machine wasn't working properly but did take my money.)
