It was a privilege to stay in this hotel. Wonderful architecture and characterful accommodation. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the food is excellent. If you like bland custom built corporate chain hotels this is not for you. Lovely hotel stay

The building itself has been turned into a hotel functionally but in keeping with the history of the building. The staff were really friendly and helpful, offering to help. The rooms were clean and comfortable with plenty of space for a large family. The hotel setting is very pretty and we enjoyed our stay.

Historically interesting in a pretty town

The hotel building is full of character in a lovely location by the river. Very close to the pretty town centre. Breakfast was good with many local products. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant with its historic rotisserie. Staff were very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
