The house was clean and equipped and located in the country. Found a fan in the closet which helped one of the bedrooms circulate air since no A/C in most Ireland homes. It would be a great addition if most homes offered fans. Ireland is having a hot past couple of weeks and it’s been tough falling asleep when it’s hot and not much breeze coming through the windows. Overall a nice place to stay.

I can’t review this particular property. The host contacted me the day of check-in and said they made a mistake in their diary and this property was not available. The host offered another property that appeared to be a two-bedroom cottage so we took that property instead. It turned out to be a one-bedroom/one bath property with a make-shift bed in a corner. Seeing this upon arrival I contacted the host to ask for compensation since we had paid for a two-bedroom/two bath cottage but was given a one bedroom/one bath cottage. The host responded with a long and terse reply stating that we accepted the property upon seeing the photos and we could move out and they would refund. This was high season and we were on holiday with virtually no time to research an alternative accommodation and felt this was not a proper handling of this by the host. The alternate property was also further away from our planned activities during this stay. I was very unhappy that this host pulled a switcheroo that did not represent what was paid for and what we were expecting.
