Welcoming staff. Beautiful (small but fine for us) room. Great bed and bedding. Fabulous shower. We stayed in a Clubroom on floor 5. In the evening the bar/grill had a great vibe. Lovely grilled chicken wraps and chips for lunch.

Bit of a walk from the train station to the hotel (recommend taxi or uber), but once I got there, it was so nice to be able to relax in a comfy and spacious bed. Recommend going to the gym & swim facilities too; liked the steam room and lane swimming. Changing rooms excellent size. Relaxed atmosphere and helpful staff. Bed so comfy I accidentally slept 10 hours and almost missed breakfast, but when I did go down to eat, there was still plenty of choice and room to sit. Would have liked there to be a hot chocolate option instead of just tea and coffee but that’s just personal preference. In the evening, I liked the chicken health bowl and the comfy seating. Overall, I would recommend the village hotel and would go back again. Many thanks.
