I had a lovely private room with bath, I used the kitchen at the YMCA hostel next door. They also stored by bags for me on the day of leaving so could walk around without them. The staff at YMCA were very helpful and there is a small shop/restaurant for snacks and drinks. Totally recommend!

Chic and Modern

Situated right behind the Train Station, the location is perfect for travelling around Basel. The free teas and coffees were a welcome surprise as there was an hour delay in check in before the room was ready. Only quibble was the puzzling rule about not having alcohol in your room, quite bizarre really.

One night stay for a champions league game 5 minutes from the back of train station , checkin at 3pm because room was not ready but facilities are good and so is the price for Basel

The YMCA was very near to supermarket around the conner and two blocks to railroad station. Also, you could walk to the major tourist sites.

I was very pleasantly surprised at my room! Spacious, comfortable and there was a Nespresso! It was also quiet and the area appeared quite safe. Definitely recommend this hotel!

Handy for the train station, handy for trams

Pleasant all round. Excellent room for resting and sleeping - but requiring shift into YMCA social area (I was in Stay@SBB) for work, planning and coffee etc. Nice little garden, though the little low tables should be wiped clean every few hours instead of never; not keen on unemptied ashtrays, either. Wonderful to have free coffee on tap. Easy atmosphere, everyone doing their own thing, though watch out for certain groups who might colonise the kitchen - should be more rules there. Great location for the train station, which itself has some good shopping facilities - late-hours CoOp not least of all - and therefore trams that go to most city spots. Good value. Free travel pass - for my three days - much appreciated.

Nice Stay!

VERY clean hotel with friendly staff. Comfortable beds and they give you a comfy robe/slippers to wear in the hotel. Close 6 min walk from the train station.
