This is our third year staying at Basalt Mountain Inn. The hosts are very nice. They are in the process of upgrading the rooms. Bathroom was redone. The linens are thin and dingy, but they will likely be replaced soon. We look forward to our visit there next year.

Other than being worried about being given a fine for any infraction like taking breakfast to your room, (there was a list on the door saying what all the fines were) this was a nice place to stay. They put a lot of money into the bathrooms but the mattress could use an upgrade. I’d stay here again though.

Lovely hotel! We got a queen room with a sleeper sofa, which were in separate rooms. Which was great for privacy, but only the bedroom had an AC unit, which left the sleeper sofa room pretty warm overnight. But that's our only complaint - otherwise great location, great price for the area, very clean, and friendly check-in staff. I'd certainly come back.

This is a good clean no frills joint. Family that runs it are friendly and work hard at keeping it up. If you are looking for a super fancy expensive Aspen type experience this isn’t it, but if you are looking for a clean vintage motel type experience at a good price this is it.
