We stayed at the holiday Inn on New Years Eve which turned out to be a great stopping off point for visiting Cumbria. The facilities and breakfast were great. We would especially like to shout out to the housekeeping staff for their honesty and integrity in handing in some personal property which we inadvertently left in our room. Also a big thanks to Jemma who contacted us, checked that the item was ours and where it had been left then promptly returned it to us. The staff are a credit to the Holiday Inn and we can’t thank them enough.

Can’t fault this hotel. Everything was easy from parking to check-in and finding a great restaurant within walking distance. Complementary breakfast was a bonus too.

Selective continental breakfast, same everyday all around the year! Would appreciate some changes for the people staying for the long period. It was fair not to provide room service on Christmas and Boxing day, though you'll have to pay the same price!

Very friendly staff and modern, clean facilities. The one thing I don’t agree with is dogs being allowed in the hotel - creates an unpleasant environment. A gym would be a massive plus. Overall, however, great experience and fantastic staff.
