Greeted by staff at reception - very attentive to our needs. Room was comfortable and looked clean although there was a problem with the bathroom sink. Wasn’t much of a hindrance so reported to reception staff on departure. Only there for 1 night so can’t say if it was resolved. Food in the bar was adequate - we decided to skip breakfast so can’t comment on that. Overall was a pleasant stay.

The hotel is clean and comfortable with good size rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful, particularly Trafford who is the breakfast waiter. He simply could not do enough for us or any of the other guests. However the costs as displayed were not a true figure. The taxes and v.a.t. were displayed in tiny writing underneath. We thought that we had payed for breakfast, but apparently not. At £12.50 the breakfast was overpriced. The same standard was available at The Toby Jug. A short drive away.
