"In the Heart of D-Day" Vacation Home

Comfortable and bright cottage bordered by the countryside. Surrounded by greenery near a pond which is fenced (no danger for children), you will have a view of our farmyard (chickens) Close to Bayeux (2 kms), you can enjoy many services and shops and will be at the gates of museums and monuments such as the Bayeux tapestry or the cathedral.
Barbeville is a charming little village located between Bayeux and the D-Day landing beaches. You will have the opportunity to visit them by 15 minutes drive. The cottage is also 30 minutes from Caen and 1h30 from Mont Saint-Michel. For those who prefer to go for a bike ride, many cycle paths are available in the city of Bayeux but also along the coast.
Fitted out in an old cart house (place where carts were parked in the nineteenth century), our cottage is designed in natural materials; the structure, floors, partitions and doors are made of wood and the insulation is made of hemp straw.
On the first floor are the living room/kitchen area, the toilet and the shower room; upstairs, two bedrooms. The staircase going upstairs is narrow as is the bathroom. Outside, a spacious and private terrace with garden furniture is available.
The washing machine is located in an annex building of the owners' house.
Our cottage is in a country spirit and will fully suit nature lovers.
We will be delighted to welcome you and will do everything we can to ensure that you have a very good memory of your holiday with us in Normandy.

Idyllische Lage unweit der Autobahn, ideale Basis für Ausflüge (Bajeux, Landungsstrände ...)

Die in eine Ferienwohnung umgebaute Scheune ist zweckmäßig, einfach ausgestattet und sauber. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Für 4 Personen allerdings sehr beengt, für 2 Personen absolut ok. Jedoch ist die Treppe zu den 2 Schlafräumen sehr schmal und steil. Für normal große Menschen und isb. mit Gehbehinderung ein Unding. Der Vermieter war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Umgebaute Scheune auf dem Bauernhof

Schöne umgebaute Scheune eines Bauernhofs/Guts in ländlicher Idylle, mit sehr angenhmen Vermietern. Trotz ländlicher sehr gut angebunden nach Bayeux und die Nationalstraße. Für uns der ideale Ort für unseren Urlaub in der Nomrmandie. Einzige Einschränkung: Wer auf stabiles WIFI angewiesen ist, könnte enttäuscht sein.
