Agamont Cottage is named after the first ever Hotel in Bar Harbor `Agamont House` constructed in 1855. The hotel no longer stands and in its place is Agamont Park at the end of West Street.

Such a beautiful place to stay. The kitchen was amazing!! The cottage was so cozy and comfortable. Well stocked with everything we needed and so clean!!! I would highly recommend this to anyone staying in the area. It’s within walking distance to everything in Bar Harbor. Well done all around.

We had the best stay! Our family was there for the week hiking and enjoying the town. Location was ideal being right in the middle of town, walking distance to all the bars and restaurants, and having the parking space was really helpful!! Can’t wait to come back!!

Amazing location

This house was fantastic for our vacation. I loved Bar Harbor and to be staying in a house where we could walk places and a parking spot... so convenient. We spent a lot of time playing games on the front porch also which was great. We also had an amazing view for the 4th of July fireworks. Highly recommend.

Hiking fun

This location was perfect for a quick drive to hikes plus access to restaurants, grocer and more. The kitcen was super well equipped for any meal. We were able to sit on thebalcony and visit after hikes. Great place and responsive host.

Perfect cottage for exploring Acadia

It was really fun staying in downtown Bar Harbor and being able to walk to dinner and shops. The place is very close to Acadia National Park where we spent most of our time. Also a quick walk to Bar Island at low tide. The house is cozy, comfortable and reasonably priced. The kitchen is well-equipped if you want to cook. Comfortable bed and good water pressure in the showers. Highly recommend Havana and Parrilla for dinner; Stadium and Cafe This Way for breakfast! Would happily stay here again.

Fantastic!

Had an absolutely wonderful stay. Location within a few minutes walk of the main food and shopping in Bar Harbor can't get better (plus free parking is huge). The place is spacious, clean, well appointed, and very comfortable. Highly highly recommend it to anyone spending some time in Bar Harbor.

Great location

We had everything we needed at the property. It was clean and comfortable, although the upstairs bedroom gets pretty warm. Fans supplied help with that. Perfect location to walk to restaurants, shops, sights in Bar Harbor. Easy access to Acadia.

My stay was nice overall. The master bedroom needs room darkening blinds, and one set of blinds didn't fully cover the window, so the room is light at dawn. The management company does a last minute check in, emailing the information only in the morning of your arrival. So if you want to print out anything ahead of time, such as if you are on the road traveling and with limited internet access, it could be difficult. I'm assuming that they may have had issues with people checking in prematurely, but other Vrbo properties give you all the information at least 5-7 days in advance.
