CLEAN & Spacious

Our room was clean, beds very comfortable,and the room was very spacious. The coffee pot was missing but when we ask for one the front desk was happy to give us one. The building is old but very well taken care of.

It seems that it has in the hotel itself offers more than it can produce. The breakfast was cold cereal cold muffins cold yogurt cold eggs, there was nothin there breakfast buffet. The room was very clean, and the bed was absolutely outstanding.

The conditions of the room were pretty bad. The ceiling in the room had disgusting stains on it. The bathroom walls were coming off. Silicone is coming off around the bathtub. Ceiling in the bathroom also have yellow stains allover and it looked like it can fall down any minute. The floors are wooden so for half a night it sounded like someone is walking and sliding chairs on our heads (we were on the first floor). The plumbing was making noises too. We did not end up using the pool or any other facilities. The breakfast was ok with some healthy options like hard boiled eggs, cream cheese bagels, etc. Location is 30 minutes away from Bar Harbor. The restaurant next door is good. Overall, all of this would be acceptable if we were paying $100 USD for the room, for $300/night it is not.

This is an older hotel in the process of redoing their rooms. I was in a handicapped room, which I didn't request and had a handheld shower that was awful to shower with. The breakfast was grab and go which served our needs. The location was about 15 miles to Acadia so that was not bad.

Our room was conveniently located on the ground floor and we were able to park right outside the sliding glass doors, making it really easy to unload luggage. The desk staff was very friendly and the bed was excellent. The in-room refrigerator was blissfully quiet, and the "grab and go" breakfast had excellent options. Best of all, there's a Thai restaurant immediately adjacent! We were very happy with our stay, and its convenience to access Acadia National Park.
