This was a very clean but primitive hotel reminiscent of earlier hotels. No microwave or refrigerator and a tiny bathroom. It only had a small pedestal sink with nowhere to set anything and a very small shower. Also, very spotty coverage and internet. But they did offer daily housekeeping which is so nice. It’s a shame most hotels have done away with that since Covid.
Our room was clean and spacious. We had a full kitchen, dishes, and cookware. Management was very nice and accommodating. It wasn't a Marriott, but it was clean and comfortable. It was near a major street and we could hear traffic but not enough to bother. The street went to Bangor one way and to Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park the other way. A stop for the free bus service to Acadia & Bar Harbor was also very close-but wasn't marked.
I have stayed there for 4 previous years.
Unfortunately, this time the bed was horribly uncomfortable. I had to foldup the bedspread, blanket and sheets and sleep at the foot of the bed that way.
No phone or clock.
A baby cried for three nights at 3:30AM for an hour.
Room next to me the father decided to play his guitar at 11:00PM for an hour and other people were outside my window joining him.
Taking a shower at 2:00pm and the water shut off for over 30minutes while I sat waiting with conditioner in my hair.
one of the last day of my stay 8:00am the toilet over flowed and there was 1/2" of water on the bathroom floor.
I put all the towels I had on the floor and went to get the owner. He came with a plunger, fixed it and handed me 2 towels and told me to put them on the floor so I didn't slip. Then he left me there to collect all the soaking towels to pick up.
I will never stay there again. I am very disappointed in the overgrown weeds, dried out flowers hanging in front of the doors and run down look of the place.
I did take a picture of the bathroom after the owner left.
Slept sound which means the mattress and pillows were okay. Also the road noise was not an issue as I feared it might be. I was looking to not spend a bundle for a quick night. It was a little further from the Trenton bridge than I thought, but, overall close enough.

It was a lot of money for a very dated and small room, which was shared with another unit in a small cabin. Our first night we were woken up when our neighbors returned. There is little to prevent sounds between units.
Hotel is convenient to exploring Mt Desert Island. Minimal cabin with a very small bathroom, no mirror or sink in there. Sink and mirror in living area. 1950’s decor. Window shades need replacing. Does have AC, refrigerator and microwave. Beds comfortable. Internet ok. On a busy road so tends to be noisy. Coffee and pastries provided at the office. Restaurant across the street was excellent and handy to have a convenience store across the street.
The owner was very accommodating with issues that came up while we were there.
I would say that the room must not have been rented out recently because there were cob webs and spiders that needed to be relocated once we checked in.
Spend a night not a fortune is their tagline. I‘m not sure you need to spend a fortune, but the basics that I need are comfy bed and hot and semi powerful shower. Neither was provided here. I had a terrible nights sleep and am dreading my 2nd night as we are heading back into the park today to hike. My back and hip actually hurt more after my nights sleep than they did before.
As others mentioned it is clean, so there is that and the person was very nice at check in and even gave us wee towels to dry off our bikes each day. It is also close to the park and has a fridge freezer and working air con.
If it was this or spending even less money camping, I would choose camping, because at least you have the fun of it and a comfier bed and in most cases better shower!!

Everything was fine, except for the shower. The water pressure was unacceptable.
Clean. Quiet. Lock on the bathroom didnt work, and the light functionality was hit or miss. Mattress wasn't the most comfortable but thats okay. Very cost effective option.
Older motel that is clean and comfortable. Donuts and coffee were provided at breakfast. The flowers outside our room were beautiful. Only complaint is internet is poor.
