Skeleton staff generally capable. The room never vary too much. There have been upgrades to the rooms. However the quality of the improvement are lacking in many ways. I suspect no one does a check on how well the work done looks or functions. I did stay on the 18th floor this time. The rooms are more expensive. But, the benefit of additional cost is no cockroaches or bugs. No moldy shower curtains. Windows that actually close. A roof that does not leak water from rooms above. Cigarette smells (although the waste baskets stink very bad). The unpleasant mentions have been pretty much standard in the lower level/lower cost rooms.

Points positifs : Personnel accueillant, propreté irréprochable et excellent petit-déjeuner. Le service de chambre est efficace (ménage et changement de literie quotidien). Points négatifs : Malgré l'appellation "Super de Luxe", l'aménagement est minimaliste. L'absence de tables de chevet et de rangements pour les vêtements est regrettable. De plus, nous n'avons pas pu obtenir de deuxième chaise. Concernant la literie, seule une couette est fournie, mais l'hôtel a su s'adapter en nous proposant la housse seule. Enfin, un défaut de conception dans du bain fait que l'eau de la douche du mur du fond s'écoule directement sur le sol, ce qui est assez contraignant.

This is an older hotel. It is in the perfect location because it is older. Don’t expect all the modern glitz and glamour. Do expect to have English speaking staff, door man to help with luggage, street food vendors, MRT station and canal boat stop all within 5 minute walks. No Grab or taxis needed when exploring Bangkok or to the airports. DMK was 25 minutes by MRT from this location. As a bonus the beds were comfortable and we had all the needed amenities, kettle, fridge, hot water and the notorious “bum gun”. We would choose this hotel again for its convenient location.

We selected this location for a short layover due to it's proximity to the airport rail link. The room was basic but was clean and certainly met our needs at a very reasonable price. Would stay again.
