Wonderful stay, the room and bathroom was clean and spacious, the owner was lovely, and the whole place was cozy and inviting. Not to mention the breakfast was great! Highly recommend.

One of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed at - excellent room and breakfast, and a superb location a few yards from Bamburgh Castle. Mark is a great host - very friendly and easy to contact. Will definitely stay there again when we return to the North East.

Check in was difficult due to no light, first we couldn’t see the house number, or their hill crest sign, then the numbers in the black box which held the key to get in. (Both were very obvious in the daylight!!) Everything felt clean enough, but just worn out. A refresher coat of paint, new shower curtains and a cleaner carpet would go a long way!!

The property was lovely with views over the countryside. Room was clean and quiet.The breakfast was good with plenty of variety. Was looked after very well by the host. The reason people stay there is to visit the magnificent Bamburgh Castle overlooking the North Sea. Altogether well worth a stay

Had a fantastic stay! Mark was super helpful and accommodating. Couldn’t be closer to the local restaurants, bars and of course the castle. Everything was spot on. Also the breakfast was tailored to how you want it and was delightful. Would definitely stay again and recommend anyone else to stay here.

We had a super stay at Hillcrest; Mark & his father were very welcoming and supportive and the breakfasts were fab! Our room was really clean and comfortable and the en-suite was exceptional; we wish we could have transferred it to our own home. If we are ever in this part of the world again, there is absolutely no doubt where we would stay - at HILLCREST! Good location for the hotel, excellent size of the bedroom, clean and comfy bed and a superb breakfast, what more could you ask for. Parking was limited but we got sorted eventually. Quaint little village with the awesome views of the castle and the best beach you could find, best I have been to in this country or abroad. Will go back again !!
