The staff was nice enough. The room was very affordable and clean at first glance but I caught sight of multiple bugs and it made me uncomfortable. The WiFi was completely useless and would not work with any of my devices. My stay was mostly suitable.

I stayed at WoodSpring Suites Bakersfield East on 12/1/25 and had an extremely uncomfortable and stressful experience. When I arrived at approximately 11:00 PM, the hotel doors were locked for after-hours check-in. I used the phone to contact the front desk, and although the receptionist answered, she informed me it would take her several minutes to come down from the third floor. I stood waiting for quite a long time outside the locked entrance. Unfortunately, there was nowhere to sit while waiting, and because I wear a prosthetic brace, standing for that length of time caused considerable discomfort. I was given Room 332 on the third floor, which is an extremely long walk from the elevator. The room itself looked older and worn, and the armchair had noticeable upholstery missing. There was loud noise coming from other rooms. The room heater was extremely loud, to the point that I was unable to sleep with it running despite the cold temperature. I had no choice but to turn it off. At about 6:25 AM, the fire alarm suddenly went off. I got up quickly to check for danger, and the alarm and flashing lights continued for several minutes, stopped, then sounded again. When I called the front desk, I was told someone had “tripped the alarm.” This was very stressful and disrupted what little rest I had. Overall, the long wait to enter the building, difficulty with mobility, worn room conditions, loud heater, and the early-morning fire alarm made this stay extremely uncomfortable.

I booked my stay with hotels.com and called to check if my reservation is confirmed with the hotel and got to know I am all set for my stay. But when I reached the hotel with my family in the night, they say the reservation is canceled by the system and we are sold out completely. This is awful experience with little kids. We are all tired and luckily found out that there is another location for the same hotels and went to there to stay. But that location is also not that great. It is okay but don't expect any fancy things. Just a shelter to take rest for the night. No breakfast, no utensils to cook, bad smell all over the hotel, very uncomfortable beds. No hangars to hang clothes. Many more things. I definitely say NO to this place if you are planning with a family and kids.

I accidentally was booked the room by either Expedia or myself I don't know which for the wrong day we were unable Expedia and I were both unable to contact the front desk for a refund before the time allotted for a refund at expired and I am out $100 for this reservation so my stay was horrible I will never stay there again and I will never recommend you for anything

This a 'no frills', basic hotel. Rooms were generally clean, including bathroom. The room interior could use a update, but for the price I paid for 2 nites, I couldn't complain. The plus is having a full size apartment refrigerator/freezer and a 2 burner glass stove top. I travel with a ice cooler and plenty of road food, so the fridge was a big plus. If you travel with a frying pan or two, you would be all set.

The bed in this room was on a box spring and was nothing like what the photos show on the ad. The general areas smelled like smoke and the noise level was so awful that we got about 4 hours of sleep. This was by far the worst hotel experience I've ever had and I will never stay here again.

The price was good. The room was clean but I give it 4 because the room had a funny smell. It’s probably because they have people staying there long term and cook all kinds of funky food. Also there might be people who don’t shower often and love their body odor, so the room smelled like someone lived there for a long time who had BO and cooked a lot of stinky dishes. Other than that, I appreciate the laundry room, the security and the ample parking. I had to keep a scented candle on at all times though. Next time, I will bring my own pots, pans, dishes and such so I can take advantage of the nice stove and full size refrigerator.

Been here 6 months for work staff is excellent rooms are clean. And the area is okay close to a few fast food restaurants. But everything else seems to be about 15 to 20 minutes out
