was a birthday treat for me,nice break Hotel was just in walking distance of Bagnole,no problems with taking the dog,which is normal in France but not the UK.

A good overnighter!

A good stopover on the way from Mont St Michel to Paris. The hotel was well presented and the staff friendly. The room was adequate, although the ensuite would have been difficult to get into if one was of a large build around the girth! The curtain used to separate the room from the ensuite was not really private enough either. However, overall the hotel was good for an overnight stay.

Staff brilliant, food excellent but downside was the en-suite. No room to swing a cat and the shower was very difficult to get out of, in fact dangerous. Almost spoilt an overnight stop!

Confusion at check in

Beautiful location, the hotel was basic, a little dated and well used but satisfactory for the money and clean. There was confusion however at check in as despite pre-paying for the room, the Proprieter insisted that I had to pay the full amount again and I felt that they were somewhat brusque in their approach to the situation, despite having all the paperwork with me. After several phone calls home and to Expedia (who were fabulous!) the situation was resolved. It did the job however and as previously mentioned is in a fabulous part of France.

Je n'ai pas l'habitude de donner une note maximale, car la perfection n'existe pas. 4 étoiles sont pour moi la reconnaissance d'un accueil aimable et serviable, d'une chambre calme et confortable, d'un parking facile d'accès … en sommes d'un séjour agréable. Par contre le diner, lui, pourrait amplement mériter … 6 étoiles, mais cela n'est pas prévu dans vos critères d'appréciations. Nous y reviendrons les yeux fermés et l'estomac en demande ...

Un endroit à decouvrir de toute hâte.

J’ai découvert par hasard cet établissement...d’abord l’hôtel...avec son confort bourgeois, mais pas bling bling. Puis,le côté restauration...un chef, époux de la directrice de l’hotel...très professionnel...cuisinant que du frais...des plats originaux et goûteux.
