Great little hotel in Avila

We were quite a large group and the hotel were very accommodating. The place is well kept and clean. The breakfast offers a good spread. Close to the walled city of Avila, just a 10-15 min walk away.

Hotel was lovely, staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great with a fantastic selection. The only let down was parking was horrendous. It took us over an hour to park and there was no availability near the hotel. Not an ideal situation for the elderly.

The staff was very kind and willing to help us out. We had to leave early due to an early train, and she wanted to make sure that we had food to eat. So, she had a picnic set up for us to take with us since breakfast was included with our room. It was very nice of her to go the extra mile.

3 nights in Avila

We chose this hotel due to its very close proximity to the train station. Very convenient for train arrivals. About an easy 15 minute walk from the old walled city centre. The room was smallish but had a very nice bathroom. The front of house staff were very helpfull and friendly. The beds comfortable. Unfortunately, windows dont open and the hvac system only blew warm air. Consequently, the room was very stuffy. So beware. Also there is absolutely no soundproofing. So every plumbing noise, footstep, and conversation from adjacent rooms is very intrusive. Ear plugs for sleeping are a requirement.

No private, free or paid, car parking available by hotel was a real pain, furthermore street parking is allowed for a max 2 hrs... No idea why but whilst my car was a compact sub, reception indicating my car is too big for hotel private car park on the other hand I noticed that several other guests driving in and out car park with similar car dimensions! Bedroom window is a serious hazard, very dangerous while opening and closing!!!

Este hotel está clasificado como 4 estrellas ,no lo es. Es un edificio antiguo con gran potencial pero le falta Mantencion y entrenamiento al personal. No nos comunicaron que el estacionamiento tenía un costo de 13 euros por día . Cuando expliqué que no se especificó este valor al momento del check in la Sra de recepción no tuvo la actitud adecuada . El personal del bar carece de entrenamiento y no hay muchas opciones ,considerando que es un hotel 4 estrellas . El desayuno tampoco es de un buen nivel sin embargo los jóvenes que atienden son muy amables. Nos quedamos previamente en Dorma Los Linajes que está clasificado como 3 estrellas ,en nuestra opinión Los Linajes debiese ser 4 estrellas ,una atención totalmente diferente por lo que vimos. Claramente los Dorma no están estandarizados en muchos de los detalles de atención al cliente.
