I've stayed here a couple times in past while traveling through. Each time was comfy and restful, for a one night stay. You can tell they put effort in to making the place an inviting and family vibe kind of place.

Friendly owner, very clean rooms, air conditioning in room had only one fan speed but kept the room cool. Shower was nice and hot. Parking next to the room is very convenient. The town of Austin is a living ghost town. It was really cool to walk around and see some original old buildings.

To be clear, I ended up not being able to stay but needed my prepaid rez to be kept open due to fluidity in my plans. The owner was super nice and helpful and down to earth and accommodated my request. Based on this I would definitely reserve a room here again (even though I didn’t get a chance to see it!).

Nice clean room with plenty of towels and a refrigerator - enough for my overnight needs while on the road. I have stayed here before - last year, I think, and am happy that the owner is making a difference in this small, isolated town. I am thankful there was a room left for me to stay in!
