‘Cozy’ really describes the room we stayed in! Although tiny, the accomodatuons were very clean, the sheets were crispn& white, the heater was perfect (it was 18 F that night!) and the bathroom was spacious. Highly recommend! Austin is a very small town, but we ate a delicious chicken wings and fries dinner at a charming historic bar across the street (the only place serving food and drinks that night). The bar’s owner was a charming character and made our night a memorable one.

The room we stayed in had clearly been recently renovated. I wish I took pictures because our room was nicer than the photos here. Single queen bed and two very small nightstands with a small fridge and microwave. That’s all that fits in the small, cozy room. It was Dec so cold but the heater worked great. No one there when we checked in after 6pm and there was no cell service. Thankfully there was someone else staying g there that was in the parking lot when we arrived and they gave us the WiFi password so we could call the owner. They told us how to get the key and we go into the room without a problem. It’s a VERY small town with one gas station for gas and some groceries. But we knew this ahead of time. We just needed someplace to stay to try to see Berlin-Ichtyosaur state park.

Lovely, clean room in a traditional motel but with modern conveniences. On arrival you phone the owners to get the key information but it seems they are usually nearby. There's a small lobby at the entrance with great coffee available. Very quiet.
