We stayed because of the restaurant governors We Paid $200. Nightly. The room next door was rented to teenagers. Hanging out the window. With golf clubs. Banging on the walls and doors all night. So loud. I called the front desk. They said “we’re not responsible for the room being rented.”my sister called ,She asked where we were I told her fireside Inn so we could all meet at Governor's for dinner. The front desk said they were closed for maintenance. My sister said it was because of mice. What! I pulled it up on Maine news “Govenor restaurant closed because of mice. “Before we read the article “My husband said it sounded like something scratching under his bed. For three nights.,Now I believe him.i really wish we did not stay there. Our trip to Maine was awesome. Fireside inn was our only downfall. All the other hotels were all booked. Otherwise we could have left. That makes sense now that everything around here was rented. People must of read the articles. I totally feel we should get a refund for the three nights. $200. Per night.( $600 total…). And , honesty about conditions to this establishment . JJ Hutch

Great value!! It is an old building, but our room was very clean. Towels were fluffy and bedding was very nice. We brought our dog and they made that super easy (we were on the ground floor right by the door).

The pictures of this motel are not this motel. The motel is right in a town traffic all night. Place is dirty and flies kept us awake all night, we probably killed 20 flies. Room smells, beds are uncomfortable. I think Expedia should make sure the property is the one in the pictures.
