Black & White Retreat

Private retreat for couples in Omaha, only 45 minutes north of Auckland. The guest house is at the back of my beach house. Totally self contained and private. Enjoy the peace, watch the stars.
Use the full kitchen, pick up some treats at the Matakana market.
If you are golfers, boaties , divers, stand up paddle boarders, wine lovers, surfers, walkers, nature lovers its all here for you. Perhaps enjoy a short drive to some unbeatable restaurants, cafes, and vineyards, Matakana cinemas, wine bar, marine reserve..... the list is endless.
A choice of 2 outdoor patio areas one private and sunny, one for shade lovers too. Simple open plan studio designed for sun and privacy. Short flat walk to beach, boat ramp, jetty across the road , golf-course, cafe, surf club, tennis courts, bird sanctuary all within a 10 min stroll

Birthday surprise weekend away

Black and White Retreat was just perfect for us with all amenities we needed. Clean, comfortable (great, comfy bed). Great location, quiet and only a short, flat walk to the beach and even quicker to the boat ramp. Great outdoor spaces which was wonderful for when the family arrived for a beach day and accommodated 11 of us for a pre dinner drink really easily. Playground just up the road for the grandchildren...perfect. Host Sue is lovely making us feel welcome and very comfortable. Will be back soon.

Owner helpful, friendly and accommodating. Went out of her way to provide an alternative option to relieve us of our bags earlier than the stipulated check in. Locality was perfect. Short walking distance to beach, and for us attending a private function. Perfect!

This was our first long stay in Omaha and really enjoyed it!! The bach doesn’t want for much, the only things we raised with the fabulous owner was…- the wifi was very weak and an extender could resolve this- the bed is super comfy but on rollers on a concrete floor ao coasters would remedy this!All in all a safe and private location which we loved! Thank you

Wedding accomodation for Grandparents

Our son recently got married at Matakana's Stables wedding venue and we needed some extra accomodation for my elderly parents for two nights. After accidentily booking for the wrong month, Susan responded immediately to my SOS and moved my booking withoutr hesitation. The studio was perfect for our needs. It was clean and very well appointed, with a lovely private courtyard if you wanted to relax outside. The only comment from my parents was they would have loved a TV., Otherwise, a great little spot for a quiet get away. Happily recommend.

Lovely Getaway Accomodation

Beautiful, quiet, private getaway with all the amenities available. Very welcoming and our communication was fantastic. The little house was very private and quiet and very comfortable. A great place to relax after a fun full day of adventuring. I would absolutely recommend staying here and will be heading back next summer and for longer.

Lovely place

Great for 2 of us to spend a weekend in Omaha. Nice bach, can walk to the beach, kitchen well equipped. Only thing is WiFi signal was very weak, if you need to use it
