Manea Villa by Stay Waiheke
Summary:
Set in a peaceful valley surrounded by mature gardens and open lawns, Manea Villa by Stay Waiheke is a calm, spacious home designed for relaxed island living. It’s a place where families and groups can spread out, unwind, and enjoy long, easy days close to Oneroa and Waiheke’s best vineyards.
The Space:
The villa opens into a bright, comfortable living and dining area designed for simple, easy days. Soft natural light fills the space, and the gas fire adds warmth on cooler evenings. The kitchen is professionally equipped and set up for everything from quick breakfasts to shared meals after afternoons exploring the island.
French doors open to sunny patios and quiet garden corners, giving you plenty of options for morning coffee, reading, or relaxed outdoor dining. Large flat lawns wrap around the home, ideal for kids’ play, backyard games, or simply stretching out in the sun.
The main house includes four well-appointed bedrooms and two full bathrooms, each room finished with quality bedding, soft textures, and views of the surrounding gardens. The standalone sleep-out adds a fifth bedroom with its own ensuite and private outlook, perfect for guests wanting an extra level of separation or privacy.
Across every space, the villa feels welcoming and unhurried, a home built for easy days and time together, with enough room for everyone to relax in their own way.

The Neighborhood:
Manea Villa sits in a quiet pocket of Oneroa, giving you a tucked-away feel while still being close to everything. A short drive brings you to Oneroa Village for cafés, boutique shops, and daily essentials. Wai Kitchen is a favourite for brunch and daytime meals, and Solar Eating House offers fresh bowls and relaxed outdoor seating for lunch.
You’re also right in the heart of wine country. Cable Bay Vineyard is your local, ideal for long afternoons on the lawn with sea views, while Mudbrick offers refined dining, tastings, and a classic Waiheke setting. For dinner in the village, Aperitivo serves relaxed small plates with great balcony views, and The Oyster Inn offers seafood, cocktails, and a welcoming dining room. If you’d like something more casual, The Heke is nearby for craft beer, shared plates, and a lively weekend atmosphere.
The villa feels peaceful and private, but everything you’ll want, beaches, cafés, vineyards, and the village sits within a few minutes’ drive.
Getting Around:
You’ll find getting around easy from Manea Villa. If you’re arriving by ferry, buses run straight from Matiatia and drop you near Oneroa Village, perfect if you prefer to leave the car behind. Many of the island’s top vineyards, including Mudbrick, Cable Bay, and Stonyridge, have bus stops right outside, so you can hop on and off all day and make the most of long lunches and tastings without worrying about driving. If you do bring a vehicle, there’s simple parking on site and quick access to both Oneroa and the island’s main routes.
Other Things to Note:
Like many Waiheke homes, Manea Villa runs on rainwater, so we ask guests to use it thoughtfully during their stay.
Minimum stays apply — seven nights from mid-December to mid-January, three nights on holiday weekends, and two nights at all other times.
Interaction with Guests:
The Stay Waiheke team is available seven days a week from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with after-hours support for urgent matters. For life-threatening emergencies, guests must call 111 immediately. Once you arrive, the villa is private, calm, and set up for an easy island stay.
