The Space:

Bright, uncluttered, and recently refreshed, the cottage is designed for straightforward island living. The lounge opens into a warm, light-filled space with comfortable seating, a Samsung Frame Smart TV, and fibre internet, making downtime easy after beach days. The kitchen is compact but fully equipped with everything you need for simple meals at home, with good light from the surrounding windows and direct access to the outdoor dining area.



Outside, the dining space sits in a sheltered bush setting, ideal for slow breakfasts or relaxed dinners under the trees. The private spa is tucked to one side of the cottage and offers a quiet place to unwind after swimming or exploring nearby beaches.



Inside, there are two bedrooms: a queen bedroom with soft natural light and a second bedroom with bunk beds suited to children, friends, or an extra guest. The bathroom is clean and functional, and a separate laundry area keeps longer stays easy. The overall layout is compact, practical, and comfortable, suited to guests who want a relaxed, walkable, beachside stay.



With a bus stop right beside the driveway, arriving without a car is completely realistic. You can step off the passenger ferry, hop on the bus, and be at the cottage within minutes. There is also a dedicated parking space for guests who prefer to drive.

A short walk brings you into Oneroa Village, home to daytime spots like Wai Kitchen, known for its coffee, seasonal dishes, and views over the bay, and Solar Eating House with its relaxed garden atmosphere. For dinner, The Oyster Inn offers fresh seafood and a cosy dining room with a distinctly Waiheke feel. If you’re planning a winery visit, Mudbrick and Cable Bay are a short drive away and ideal for long lunches or wine tasting with harbour views. And if you want something casual with space to spread out, The Heke offers a brewery, distillery, and an outdoor courtyard suited to relaxed afternoons.



The area is easy to explore on foot or by bus, with beaches, cafés, and the village all close by.



Getting Around:

The bus stop beside the driveway makes getting around the island simple, whether you’re arriving from the ferry, heading to Oneroa, or spending the day at Palm Beach or Onetangi. Jump on with other holiday makers and explore the island without needing a car.



If you prefer to drive, there is a dedicated parking spot next to the cottage. Taxis and rideshare services also operate across Waiheke, though fares can be higher during busy times.

Like many Waiheke homes, the cottage runs on rainwater, so we ask guests to use it thoughtfully.

The Stay Waiheke team is available seven days a week from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with after-hours support for urgent matters. For life-threatening emergencies, guests must call 111 immediately. Once you settle in, the cottage is private, quiet, and set up for an easy island stay.
