The Space:

Set within the gated Delamore Cove Estate, Kōwhai Apartment sits high above Oneroa with long views across the bay to Motuihe Island. The surrounding native bush keeps the setting quiet and calm, and the light shifts beautifully throughout the day.



Inside, the apartment is simple and comfortable with a living and dining area that opens to a covered porch — a peaceful spot for morning coffee, relaxed dinners, or slow evenings overlooking the coastline. The kitchenette is well equipped for easy meals, and the apartment includes Starlink Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV with Netflix, and on-site parking directly in front of the door.

Guest Access:

Guests have private access to the Kōwhai Apartment for the duration of their stay. The space is completely self-contained with its own kitchenette, living area, bathroom, and outdoor porch with BBQ.



You’re welcome to enjoy the shared gardens and surrounding walkways within the Delamore Cove Estate, which connect directly to the Te Ara Hura coastal trail.



Check-in is from 2:00 pm, and check-out is by 10:30 am. Early check-ins or late check-outs may be available for an additional fee, depending on booking schedules. If there’s a same-day turnaround, we’ll confirm closer to your arrival.



The Neighborhood:

Delamore Cove sits just above Oneroa Village in a peaceful, elevated part of Waiheke. Native bush, sea views and quiet walking tracks surround the estate, and everything you need for an easy island stay is close by.



Oneroa’s cafés, wine bars, shops and essentials are only a few minutes away. Wai Kitchen and Fenice are popular spots for morning coffee or relaxed brunches. Cable Bay and Mudbrick Vineyard are nearby for long lunches, tastings and sunset dinners. The Heke Brewery and Distillery is also close, offering casual food and craft beer in a family-friendly setting.



The Te Ara Hura walking track begins at the property entrance, leading toward coastal headlands, sculpture routes, Oneroa Beach, Blackpool Beach, and further into the village.



Getting Around:

Getting around from Delamore Cove is simple and scenic. The property is about a five-minute drive from the Matiatia passenger ferry terminal and just minutes from Oneroa Village, Little Oneroa Beach, and the island’s main bus routes.



If you’re not bringing a car, buses run regularly between the ferry, Oneroa, and Onetangi. The nearest stop is a short walk from the property, and most routes connect easily to Waiheke’s beaches, cafés, and vineyards. It’s an easy, local way to explore, relaxed, friendly, and filled with views along the way.



E-bikes and scooters are available for hire in Oneroa if you’d like to move at your own pace, and there’s on-site parking right in front of the apartment for guests with a vehicle.



However you travel, Waiheke’s roads curve around sea views and vines, every trip a quiet reminder of where you are.
