The Southwinds Condominium Complex, located on Atlantic Beach's grand oceanfront, provides you with the vacation you deserve. Allow yourself to drift away from your everyday stress in one of the two outdoor swimming pools, or take a walk down to the beach and dip your toes in the water. It's the perfect place for a vacation, close to area amusements with picnic areas and grills on-site.


Southwinds F-5 is a beautifully decorated, oceanfront condo on the first floor with a good ocean view. After a day spent on the beach, cozy up on the living room sofa with a bag of popcorn in front of the large flatscreen TV and Blu-ray player, or bring a cold drink out to the oceanfront patio and take in the sights and sounds of the ocean. The fully equipped kitchen and dining area are great for family meals together; there's even a dishwasher to handle the clean-up.


After you tuck the kids into the two twin beds, sink into the king-size bed in the primary bedroom suite with a TV and a private bathroom. Additional amenities for your convenience include a private washer/dryer and free WiFi to allow you to work from your home away from home.

Listed as Oceanfront but being on 1st floor with the dunes and bushes, we were not on the ocean. Condo was clean with newer appliances and stackable washer/dryer was awesome. Beach walkway was right around the front of the bldg. About 12 stairsteps to 1st floor. Master bath was very small. I'd put kids in that room. Beach is wide and great shelling. Beds/linens/terry were all good. If you cook on vacation, pots/pans limited. Food Lion Grocery on the island or drive into Morehead City for more options. Beaufort is about 30 min to the North. Nice condo overall!!

Very good experience.

We enjoyed our stay. Great location. Easy check in and check out. The property was very nice and both the building and the unit had been recently remodeled. The unit was well equipped and comfortable. It was tastefully decorated. The only complaints I would have was that we could not find a pizza cutter and it would have been nice to have some curtains in the bedrooms. The white mini blinds did a poor job of keeping the early morning sun out. However overall five stars.

Great location, great view from the condo

The unit is excellent for up to four people, I was there on my own. Loved the views from the living room and master bedroom. Only problem was the property management. I called six of eight days about the same electrical problem. Neither the maintenance men or an electrician could figure out why the GFI outlet to the washer and the overhead light in the laundry closet kept shorting out. It was annoying not knowing whether I could use the washer when I wanted to because of the GFI that would go on and off for no apparent reason. I was supposed to receive a discount because of this annoyance, but I checked out four days ago and have seen nothing yet. Apparently the Vacasa people are just fine when everything is good but if there is a problem, they are good with words but not so good with action or keeping to their word.

Cozy Condo

The condo was very clean and easy to get to. Communication with the realtor company was easy and they responded quickly. There were just 2 of us and there was plenty of room. It would easily accommodate 4 comfortably. The kitchen was nicely furnished with pots/pans and utensils for cooking. It was a very relaxing get-away.

Nice ocean view over the dunes

Overall we enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed the beach decor and beach access. The kitchen was adequate though utensils pots and pans need and update. The master bathroom was very small and in need of a deep cleaning (mold/stains between sink and shower). The unit could use a deep clean beyond the counters and toilets (thick dust on walls in master bedroom). The living space had a nice TV and stand but a coffee table was absent. Enjoyed the back patio and its comfortable seating.
