I stayed for one night at Sonesta Select Atlanta Airport. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth and efficient; the front desk staff were courteous and organized, which was definitely appreciated.
However, I did encounter a frustrating experience regarding a lost personal item. After realizing I left something in my room shortly after checking out, I filed an online case and also called the front desk. While they promised to follow up after housekeeping had checked the room, I never received any update. I had to repeatedly call myself for updates. Unfortunately, my item was not found, and there was no further communication or proactive follow-up from the property, either through guest relations or the front desk, even after almost a week.
While I understand lost items cannot always be recovered, I believe more responsive follow-up and communication would have made the experience less disappointing. I hope this feedback encourages management to review their process for handling and communicating about lost and found cases.
