I had one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve ever experienced at Reverb.
The bathroom light in my room flashed constantly like a strobe light, making it nearly impossible to use. On top of that, the room didn’t have blackout curtains. When I asked the front desk about it, the staff member told me she didn’t think any of the rooms had them—despite it being obvious that mine had been removed.
Maintenance eventually came up after a 30-minute wait just to verify the problems, and while they said they’d get me a new room, I had to wait nearly two hours before being moved. By then, the whole check-in experience was frustrating, exhausting, and unacceptable.
As if that wasn’t enough, on the second night the water completely stopped working. We couldn’t take showers or use any water at all for hours. When it finally came back, the “hot” water looked like milk pouring out of the tap, and my sink was filled with black debris that looked like small rocks.
For a hotel that presents itself as modern and guest-focused, Reverb failed on the basics: working lights, blackout curtains, clean and functioning water, and timely service. I would absolutely not recommend staying here.
