I called the hotel and see if I can get an kind of refund or credit for a future stay since I will be traveling down there on the regular for work travel, and was told "nothing we can do for you, sorry" and then terminated the phone call. I was going to make this the regular hotel I stayed at when I traveled for work, but I will be finding another hotel for that going forward
