I didn’t stay. I had booked the wrong day on Hotels.com AND purchased the insurance to get my money back in case something happened. I discovered the mistake when I showed up two weeks early for my stay which is when I found out I had mistakenly booked the wrong day. The hotel was unmoved. The front desk clerk seemed annoyed I had used a third party service such as hotels.com. When I went to file a claim I didn’t meet any of the requirements for a refund. The booking mistake was my error. I own that. But will never use hotels.com again. I’d love that money back. And the insurance fee.
