Inclement weather caused the reason I was coming to town to be cancelled. I called the hotel's reservations desk immediately and was given the "leave your number and the first available representative will call you back" option. I'm still waiting for a call two days later, having already paid for a room I couldn't use. I can live with that outcome, but it speaks very poorly for this hotel and for Marriott's ability or interest in serving guests.
