No one was around to assist with check-in initially. The room was difficult to find. Upon entering the room, it immediately did not look like the pictures. We were okay with that, even though we were given the impression that our room had some sort of view. That is not the case. The worst part about the room was the bed. I slept outside on the ground, which was more comfortable (Infantry Army Veteran). The WiFi was also so spotty that I had to use roaming data and incurred a hefty fee on my cellular bill. There is NO hotel staff around. None at all. They rely on the younger staff who work in the restaurant also to take care of the guests. The cleaning lady was lovely, and the location was close to restaurants. That is about the only positive thing about this place. Definitely avoid.

Choice of any menu item. Staff were helpful, excellent bathroom upgrade. You will need to take an adapter for European electrical outlets to US, Canadian and Western outlets The owner/manager was extremely accommodating. No elevator so ask for help with luggage going up the gorgeous stairway

Thanks to some of the other reviews, we had no trouble finding the hotel (even in the dark). It is located above the Acropol Restaurant, with the entrance being the green door on the side. Of note, the breakfast is provided at the restaurant next door, ROH, not the restaurant the hotel is above. We found the bed in room 101 to be uncomfortable (very hard and super squeaky). However, the rest of the room was sufficient and provided us with the perfect home base for our time in Athens. The location was definitely worth the discomfort of the bed!

Its decent. Just dont have very high expectations. If you are on a tight budget and have low expectations, then this place is good. The location is the best thing about this hotel. Plenty to explore within walking distance. Its not ritz carlton so dont have high hopes. The staff was nice and friendly. Shower is very tiny though. Might not be for overweight people.

Dining was extraordinary! Beyond their restaraunt plenty of options in the area. Would have given a higher rating for the room, but the bathroom door was broken and would not shut. A little confusing on check in. We really enjoyed being steps away from the active area.

Stayed here twice. Room 110 (balcony, new bathroom) is better than room 103 (broken shower, no balcony, but fewer stairs). The service was excellent, we had to store some luggage for a few days due to an unexpected travel issue and they were very helpful with that and arranging airport transportation. The neighborhood is chock full of restaurants and shops and is close to the acropolis. Definitely recommend but be ready to climb some stairs, there's no elevator.

The property is in the perfect location in the Plaka adjacent to many restaurants and plenty of tourist shopping. You can easily walk to any of the sites in Athen you came to see. As others mentioned, the entrance is hard to find...we were lucky that one of the restaurant staff (yes, it is run by the restaurant) saw us lost and asked us if we were looking for the hotel. The room was nice, though the exit sign in the room kept the room bright at night. The breakfast was awesome, but the wait staff was not entirely friendly. Oh...and as in many older European neighborhoods, there is no elevator, so that means carrying your luggage up a few flights of stairs. All in all, it is a nice place as long as you are prepared for searching for the entrance and don't mind a walk up.

The accommodation was comfortable and clean. If you have mobility issues i would not recommend as there are only stairs. Coffee facilities in room and breakfast included down stairs in the restaurant which was very nice. The dining options were amazing and great shopping around the hotel as well

we stayed for only the overnight, nothing remarkable but exactly what we needed. felt safe and was in a good location, held our bags. a bit confusing with the restaurant doing the customer services for the hotel. we had a late check in and the restaurant people were lovely, great included breakfast. responsive on messaging so that was great!
