Fantastic location, room, and staff. Felt very attentive without being overbearing and very helpful to foreign travelers in a foreign country for the first time. The worst part was the building condition but this seemed to be a very old building and they appeared to be renovating while we were there. Can’t complain.

We were very disappointed with the condition of the property and the room we had was more like a hostel room or dorm room! The finishing was very poor and the towels pillows and bedding were in very poor condition. We asked for extra pillows which were almost unusable with huge lumps of stuffing in them. We would not stay here again.

Everything about this wonderful hotel was Excellent. From the initial check in to the attentiveness of the staff to the amazingly delicious breakfast. They recommended a lovely local restaurant for lunch that was very close, reasonably priced for authentic Greek food. And this location could not have been better. Only 2 minute walk from the entrance to the Acropolis. I plan to come back to Athens and stay here again….

The first room we had I had asked for a queen size bed so they gave me two single beds pushed together with separate sheets. After I came back for a second stay, I asked for a queen size bed, and they gave it to me.

I was initially very pleased with the check-in process and helpfulness of the front desk personnel. However, the room is another story. As mentioned by other reviews, it was severely lacking. I can understand having a small room but there were other issues. There was one bath towel and one smaller towel by the sink for two of us. No bath mat for the floor and no tissues. We asked the front desk at 4 o’clock for more towels and was told we were out of luck because housekeeping had already left for the day. I was shocked to see the condition of the one bath towel. It was worn in several areas. There was one non-fitted sheet and one thin cover on the bed. The mattress was disgusting. The floor in the breakfast area was dirty. As others have suggested, the company needs to spend a good amount to fix up this hotel to better standards for the amount it charges. We paid $225 USD plus $20 tax per night. The one big factor it has going for it is the location, but I would rather have stayed further from the Parthenon and had better hotel accommodations. They have signs in the lobby that they have received excellent reviews, but this must’ve been from many years ago. Recommend trying to find another hotel until this one is upgraded.
