The First Mate’s Suite offers front-row Columbia River and mountain views from a king bed perfectly positioned to face both the water and a cozy fireplace. Watch passing ships, fishing boats, sea lions, and the iconic 5-mile Megler Bridge from the comfort of your suite, or use the antique freestanding binoculars for an even closer look.

Designed for a relaxing waterfront stay, the suite features top down blackout blinds, a closet, white noise machine, private bath, large flat-screen Roku TV, dining bar for two, and a well-appointed kitchenette complete with a fridge, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, coffee maker, dishes, silverware, and select spices. Enjoy locally roasted coffee, a variety of creamers and teas.

Start your morning with coffee and breakfast from Coffee Girl, then unwind in the evening with a glass of chardonnay from the wine bar just steps away.

Located on historic Pier 39, guests are steps from Astoria favorites including a taphouse, Athena`s Greek Restaurant, Vineside Wine Bar & Tasting Room, gift shops, Coffee Girl, fresh seafood, the Bumble Bee Cannery Museum, massage studio, barber, and the scenic Riverwalk Trail.

Please note: As part of a historic working pier, you may occasionally feel natural movement from tides and hear weather from Coastal rain, storms and the occasional playful sea lions. Suite is located on the 2nd story with stairs to the entrance. No elevator.

We use what we call a *Boarding Pass* that is sent to you after booking to provide a easy guest experience. Boarding Pass contains all your check in information, smart lock codes, guidebooks and parking information. It is your all in one guide to our property.

We are required by state and local laws to collect guest information and a photo of your ID. This is easy to do in the Boarding Pass link we send you. You will need to sign a waiver/rental agreement to stay with us. If you disagree with our waiver/agreement cancel within 24 hours of booking or within the cancellation window to avoid cancellation fees.

Smart electronic locks with a door code. Key is for backup emergency use only.

You have access to the 1st Mate`s Suite, and all common areas on the Pier and outside. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am.

Shared spaces with other guests on the pier.

No laundry room in unit but there is coin laundry on site. Extra bedding and sheets are available. Need more please send us a message and extras can be arranged.

** Outdoor cameras are on site in public locations and hallways. There never has been, is or will be cameras in private spaces.
There is NO SMOKING in the suites or anywhere on the pier. Smoking (of ANY KIND - Vape, Marijuana, Pipe, Cigar, Cigarette, Cloves) is absolutely PROHIBITED in the bathrooms, on the Pier and on the wooden bridge. This cannery is over 140 years old, made of wood. No Smoking signs can be found in each of the suites and all over the pier.

Pets are NOT ALLOWED in our suites.

We use a 3rd party for verification and to make your stay with us seamless and easy. Our Boarding Pass is your Guide to everything you will need for for your stay. A Signed Rental agreement and ID is required to stay with us and is located in your Boarding Pass. If you disagree with our rental agreement or ID policy you have 24 hours after booking to cancel for free. After 24 hours we abide by the cancellation policy set forth in Airbnb.

If smoke is detected in the unit you will be charged up to a $200 smoke mitigation cleaning fee.

Check Out is at 11am. Check outs later than 12:00pm will accure a $50 penalty for every 30 minutes you are late checking out. Unless it is agreed upon in advance or you take advantage of some of our late check out options in your boarding pass link we send you.
