I have 4 reasons for rating this hotel 3 stars: 1) Had I known it was pet-friendly I probably would not have booked it. Dogs barking--never for a long time, but noticable; 2) Self Parking for $25/day.This is not Vegas, people, this is Asheville. 3) The tile grout in the shower clearly had not had a good cleaning in a while. 4) Right by the highway which is the reason a sound machine is supplied in the room.

The room was large and clean. The one sofa was worn. The air circulation fan rattled when it operated. The heating was excellent. Curiously, the desk was installed backwards so that the one chair would not slide under the desk. Overall, the room was adequate.

This hotel was a great choice for walk ability to downtown Asheville. Convenient self parking but there is a charge. Really enjoyed the Montfort rooftop bar with indoor and outdoor seating. The rooms are spacious with a comfortable seating area. Would be nicer if the buffet breakfast was included but the cookies were a nice perk.

My husband and I didn't like it because they charge $15 for parking and $16 for breakfast, and you have to tip the waiters who serve you. The Bed is excellent the room is noisy (the heating ), The window is not soundproof.
