In Aschau im Chiemgau, a popular health resort nestled in the heart of the Chiemgau Alps, you’ll find our guesthouse, Monika, which offers five vacation apartments—all on the first floor with balconies—and one large apartment measuring 90 square meters with a balcony on the second floor (attic level). Situated in a quiet location at the foot of Hohenaschau Castle, it invites you to enjoy a carefree vacation. In just a 5-minute walk, you can reach the valley station of the Kampenwandbahn to take the gondola up to the Kampenwand and explore the mountain scenery on foot. Beautiful walks along the Prien River or on the Bankerlweg invite you to slow down and relax here with us. Numerous mountain and valley trails can be explored right from our doorstep, whether on foot, by mountain bike, or by e-bike. For our guests, we offer a barbecue area with a barbecue hut, a large terrace, a lovely lawn for sunbathing, and a sauna (for a small fee) to relax in. Various restaurants, featuring very cozy beer gardens, are just a few minutes away. Aschau is the starting point for many excursions into the beautiful Chiemgau region, home to Lake Chiemsee and Ludwig II’s Herrenchiemsee Palace. You’re welcome to bring a dog for an additional fee.
