Smells like cigarettes

Cigarette smoke is strong everywhere. Although I had a non-smoking room, I could smell and feel smoke. I have allergy to cigarettes so I slept poorly. The room was tiny, but efficient. On site onsen is nice, with only one small "intimate" bath. Check-in was thorough, but slow compared to other Japanese properties.

Simple but gets the job done

I came during the Winter Festival, and it's conveniently close to Asahikawa Station and the ice sculpture street. However, I had trouble finding the place at first, and I even entered a different Hotel Route-Inn nearby by mistake. After finding the right place and entering the room, I found the luggage rack already open and in the middle of the narrow corridor so I had difficulty entering the room with my suitcase. Once I managed to squeeze myself and my luggage past that tight space I was finally able to enjoy what this hotel has to offer. The room is comfy, the amenities are plenty, the breakfast is tasty, and the staff even watched over my luggage after check-out so I could enjoy the festival some more. For those looking for family-friendly entertainment, this place is located close to the Round 1 free shuttle bus so you can even get your bowling and arcade fix while on vacation! Just make sure you reserve a big room if you're traveling with anybody else to make sure everybody fits.

Excellent budget hotel in Asahikawa

The staff were amazing and really made our stay at the hotel. The hotel was extremely clean and was close to food, shopping, and the central train station. It's maybe not a 5 star hotel but is definitely an excellent budget hotel.

Convenient and comfortable

Very convenient near to Jr station.staff are polite and helpful, surprise they give our daughter a pair of kids slipper and set of towel when they know we have young children with us checking in.clean hotel and will definitely come back next time

It was a last minute booking through Hotels.com. Instant booking it seemed. I checked in late. The man checking me in was extremely kind and helpful. He showed me where to park. Check out is 10:00. I think all Route Inns come with breakfast. The onsen bath in the basement was great. The front desk staff told me where to get ramen for lunch. Best ever!

Very friendly and resourceful staff

After we stayed for the first day, we decided to stay in the same town for the second day. So I booked the same hotel through the hotels.com again. My friend talked with the front desk and they were pretty full that day. They moved things around and informed us that we can stay in the same room. Saved me trouble packing and unpacking. The staff was very friendly and she told us one of the sushi bar that the locals go. That was one of the freshest sushi I ever had. 540Yen (less than USD5) for one BIG piece of Chu-Toro sushi. Very happy with the staff there.

Good value

The hotel was a little bit old. Everything was clean. The Onsen bathroom was pretty decent, the mineral water was good. Breakfast was good. There were enough Japanese and Western selections. Location was great. 5 mins walk from JR station and the Aeon Mall which had a lot of food and dessert and snack selections. Will stay again if I go to Asahikawa again.

Good Hotel.

Asahikawa,cold,snowing and beautiful,a lovely feel to the place and the locals. Hotel very good compared to the price,moderately priced hotel with courteous and friendly staff,good breakfast and good location to train station and city,lots of good places to eat close by.
