Excellent location on one of the main squares. Easy to walk everywhere. The hotel is a well known historical building. Ground level rooms are available in the back building, only a couple of steps up to reception. These rooms are extremely quiet. The rom was small but the king sized bed was new and probably the best we had on our entire 6 week trip. The shower and toilet are tiny. The toilet reminded me of an aircraft toilet it was so small. The hotel does have a lift, which is unusual for Arras. Breakfast was fairly basic but high quality, boil your own eggs was fun! Staff are very friendly and helpful, most speak English, much appreciated when my French is very poor! We would definitely stay again.

Extremely warm welcome

From the minute we walked into the hotel we were greeted very warmly and made to feel very welcome. The room was very clean, the shower was fabulous and the bed extremely comfy.

The hotel is a characterful building in central Arras, so parking isn't straightforward and our room was a little cramped. There was a fan, but no proper air conditioning on a hot night and a kettle in the room would have been appreciated. However, everything was clean, the staff were friendly and we had a great view of the Grand Place and easy access into the town.

Perfect location on the Grand Place in Arras. Easy walking to the other large square and cathedral. Staff were very helpful with parking arrangements; there is free parking nearby and free overnight parking in the Grand Place. Breakfast was simple but good. Would recommend this historic hotel.

Charm and character
