I like the property nicely situated with trees surrounding. Parking is a bit chaotic, not well marked parking spaces so people seem to park randomly and wasting space.

Reason for the 1 star review when all criteria are marked higher is that when I arrived at the hotel I was told my booking had been cancelled becuase the hotel was closed for an exclusive wedding booking during my stay. I was not informed that the booking had been cancelled. They offered to find me alternative accommodation elsewhere but when this proved to be 'more expensive' they relented and said I could stay in the hotel but I would be unable to use any of the facilities on the day of the wedding. No compensation was offered for this inconvenience. Wont be staying there again!

The pillows were clearly horrible, square like the ones you put on a couch. The bedding was too small for the single beds. Even when you order a double bed room you get two single beds. There are no King size nor even queen size beds, just singles either solo, apart or together. The restaurant was empty at 6PM but when I wanted to dine there with my family we were refused and told to make a reservation with an earliest option of 8 PM! So we were forced to eat elsewhere. Pathetic! I needed an early checkout to travel to the airport so I settled my bills the night before, but was then told I still had to get to the front office in the morning to hand in the blanc key card. I couldn't just leave it in the room. When I came there at 5:30 the doors were locked and I had to wait for the night guard to arrive to hand the card to. Since it was winder the outside furniture and facilities are not kept up and are lying there in a state of derelict, where you'd be afraid to touch them, let alone walk, sit or play there. I am sure it'll be nice in summer, but it's only summer a few months a year in the Netherlands. There are still plenty of nice days the rest of the year, but they cannot be spent there.

Needs some tweaking

Beautiful grounds, room a little dated, especially the balcony. Bar staff were very friendly, thank goddess as my room was not ready at 17:30 (that’s a first) Beautiful bar, lovely restaurant (breakfast Buffett was nice, not exceptional but sufficient. Overall I would use the word comfortable for this hotel. With a little updating and some schooling from the bar staff, I think this hotel in its stunning surroundings could be so much more..

Dirty Rooms

The room was smelling, the bedding seems old and even felt that the sheets and pillow covers were not changed. The bathroom floors were not clean and were stained. The bathroom was not cleaned at all as the shower bottles from the previous guest were left on the floor.
