A SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT OUR MOUNTAIN PARADISE

Casa Tres Vistas sits approximately 2,700 feet above sea level near Costa Rica's Continental Divide, where unique mountain microclimates create spectacular scenery and ever-changing weather.

The landscape is lush and green year-round, with misty mornings, passing clouds, sunshine, and tropical rain all part of the magic. Rainfall varies throughout the year, with typically drier periods in October and from December through April. Some mornings, you may wake up surrounded by clouds while nearby towns enjoy sunshine!

Weather forecasts can be unreliable in this region, and most tours and activities continue rain or shine when conditions are safe. We provide rain jackets, umbrellas, rubber boots, and water shoes so you can comfortably embrace the experience.

We recommend an SUV-style vehicle for exploring the region. A 4x4 is NOT required to reach the house, although the final stretch is a well-maintained gravel road.

As with any tropical rainforest destination, native wildlife is part of the experience. Guests may encounter colorful birds, frogs, lizards, insects, and occasionally snakes or other wildlife. We encourage guests to admire wildlife from a safe distance and take reasonable precautions when exploring the grounds.

Our hillside property also features natural changes in elevation, some unprotected drop-offs, a spiral staircase, an elevated bunk bed accessed by a ladder, an outdoor fire pit, and an in-ground hot tub. Children should be supervised around these features.
