Room was spartan - nothing in it to make it welcoming. Bed really uncomfortable - like sleeping on a rock. Room really warm - no way to adjust temperature. Bathroom extremely dated - shower cubicle tiny and shabby. Room described as 'soundoroofed' - what a joke! We could hear literally every sound from the room next door. Wifi abysmal - described as being 'over 100Mbps' - I did a speed test and it was less than 1Mbps. Ended up using my mobile data. The only positive I can give this hotel is the location.

Hotel Universal it is a affordable hotel close to city center. Room was good and clean. It has not ramp for disabled persons, a few stairs to get in .Staff a bit unfriendly. But at the end of the day was good.

The single room was as expected, although tight on space in the en-suite it had everything i needed and was clean and the bed comfy. The only problem is the tv is positioned too high on the wall so you cannot see the picture on the screen properly. It needs to be lowered. Overall a pleasant stay for a very reasonable price.

I spent here a couple of nights. The property is very clean, simple but with all things you may need. In a very good position, few minutes walking from the cathedral. The staff is friendly, kind and ready to help: shout out for the receptionist who made my check-in and check-out (Jose if I'm not wrong) who's been always super kind, cheerful Ang happy to help and give good advice. I stayed at the Universal for 11 nights. My room was clean, the sheets and blankets as good as new, and attended to every day. It was quiet with no traffic noise and the occasional sounds from other rooms stopped at a reasonable hour. The staff were all friendly, helpful and simpatico. The hotel is in an excellent location about 8 minutes walk to the Cathedral the heart of historic Murcia. The Universal is completely unpretentious, great value for money and I will definitely return.
