This is a lovely and cozy cottage nestled in a chestnut forest. Our hosts, Ralf and Lodewijk were in immediate contact if we needed anything- including meeting us to make sure we did not get lost finding the house. They left fresh eggs from their hen house for our breakfast. We woke to a chorus of birds in the garden - including my first Common Cuckoo bird! It was cozy and relaxing-especially after the hustle and bustle of being in Rome and Florence! There is so much to see and do in the area. We went to the mineral springs and soaked in the warm waters. Drove up to Monte Amiata with spectacular views. We explored Radicofina and other charming towns along the way. I only wish that we had had more time there!
