We loved our stay at Hotel Genessis! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, the pictures don’t do it justice. This hotel was one of the highlights of our time in Antigua. Staff was very friendly and helpful and available 24/7. The breakfast made to order each morning was absolutely delicious. The rooms were beautiful, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The beds were soft and the air conditioner worked wonderfully. There is also rooftop access with amazing volcano views and the interior of the hotel is just breathtaking. The hotel is a little outside of the center of town at a dead end street, so it’s very quiet. The location is still convenient and you can easily get to the center of everything in about a 15 minute walk or 5 minute Uber. I would definitely stay here again and was only disappointed that our stay here wasn’t longer!

There were bedbugs we could immediately see when we checked in. Based on the language barrier I could not get a refund on 2 nights paid (240USD). Of course I reached out to expedia for a refund. Due to the language barrier, customer service could not get a n immediate answer.

A nice little hotel in Antigua

The hotel is very pretty and the pictures show that. But it's several blocks away from the main square which means walking over the rocky streets which we did several times a day - or renting a taxi or tut tut. The morning breakfast was nice with coffee so you don't have to travel. The beds were not too comfortable and I would give it an overall 6 out of 10.
