It seems to be newly built or renovated so the room was fresh. The ensuite has soap and shampoo and a toothbrush was provided, and the room had AC, a refrigerator, television, wardrobe and a desk with a seat. The hotel is situated out of the town, but it is conveniently less than a 10 minute walk from the bus station and a 24 hour shop. There was some confusion on check-in as they didn't seem to have my reservation, and the room was very small, though without fault. Aside from the latter points as it is a small town, I imagine hotels here are mainly for weekend visitors or people travelling between Kazakhstan and Russia. There is ample on-site parking and the surroundings are quiet and scenic.
