"Amazing place right on the outside of Hallstatt marketplace such a beautiful community. Felt like we were in a fairy tale. Unfortunately did not realize until leaving that bikes were available for free. Would’ve loved to have had that highlighted at the top of the amenities list however this hotel is magical and I highly recommend anyone staying in the area to consider staying here."

"We booked this property for the location, despite it being somewhat between an average hotel and a hostel. Normally that would have been good for us, but circumstances definitely affected our stay. Not just that circumstances existed, but the property provided zero advance notice regarding them (despite sending us at least two messages prior to our arrival, these issues were not mentioned). The first was construction on the train line that affected our ability to get to Obertaun, but more importantly, the lack of train service resulted in the cancellation of the ferry service to get over to Halstatt (the ferry station was close to the hotel). Secondly, there was a half marathon running around the lake the morning of our checkout so all transportation to and from Halstatt and leaving the area was unavailable from mid-morning to mid-afternoon. Had we been advised of this in advance, we probably would have revised our travel to Halstatt to another day. Finally, F&B were limited & expensive — a VERY small coffee was 5 euros. The restaurant next door had much more reasonable prices and very good food, but they did not open until 10:30 Sunday morning. In summary, some basic communication would likely have made this a 5 rating stay, but instead it was disappointing. That being said, we are glad we came to Obertaun and Halstatt — the area is beautiful."

"schön gelegenes Häuschen, hübsch eingerichtet, alles da, sogar Müllbeutel und Spülmaschinentabs (sehr super)!. Schwierig, insbes. mit kleinen Kindern oder mehr als 4 Leuten (2 Autos), daß die Parkplätze rel. weit vom Haus weg sind und auch die beiden Parkpätze selbst weit auseinander. Erforderte viel Koordination im Voraus bzw Aufwand im Nachhinein, daß Ski, Kinderwagen, Wickeltasche etc bei wechselnden Besetzungen und getrennten Zielen immer im richtigen Auto waren.Kommunikation mit Gastgeben gut, jedoch sollten wohl Wünsche seitens der Gäste ganz explizit ausgedrückt werden. Als meine Frage (vor der Reise), ob es Kinderstuhl und Kinderbett gibt (Alter der Kinder mit 1 und 3 auch angegeben) bejaht wurde, dachte ich, dann sei klar, daß ich das brauche. War dann aber nicht aufgestellt, Anruf wurde aber sofort beantwortet mit der Beschreibung, wo die Sachen sind. Das Bett musste noch aufgebaut werden, was bei später Ankunft und übermüdetem Kind Zusatzstress war. Es wurde erklärt, daß ich ja nur gefragt hätte, ob es das gibt, nicht, daß ich das möchte.Insgesamt schöner Aufenthalt. Sauna und kleines Schwimmbad auf dem Gelände prima."
