The property (land) was beautiful and the host was very kind and responsive. Unfortunately, the stay just wasn’t a good fit for me. The air conditioner was extremely loud, and the bedroom with the more comfortable bed did not have AC. Some of the windows didn’t have curtains, and the window shades that were there were broken and not as pictured in the listing. This made the overall feel of the home a little cold and less homey than I expected. The TV setup was also very limited, with only one small TV working during my stay.One other thing travelers should be aware of is that it gets extremely dark outside at night. When I was packing up my car, the side flood light did not come on, so there was very little visibility around that side of the house.I ended up leaving and staying at a hotel for the remainder of my trip as I didn’t feel safe staying in the house alone. The host was understanding and provided a partial refund, which I appreciated. I think with a few updates, this could be a much more comfortable stay.
