Great location with friendly staff. Buffet was exceptional with plenty of options. We had a balcony room with great views , but our neighbors were big smokers so we couldn't really enjoy it ,and it was an considerable upcharge.

The hotel was clean and comfortable with good facilities but the room was not insulated enough from the noise from passing trams and for 3 nights the club opposite played loud techno music till 5 and 6 am. We had trouble going to sleep and staying asleep. It was unbearable.

Our view was amazing. The staff was beyond kind and helpful. Carlos was one of the many staff members that made our stay that much better. This is will definitely be our go to hotel when visiting Amsterdam. I can’t rave enough about how great we were treated by the staff. The bartender ( I forgot her name but she has blonde hair and seems to be the head bartender) made us feel like family and it felt like we were leaving family by the time we left. The very sweet man who usually does the check ins for breakfast ( he usually always has a suit on) made my day every morning we were greeted by his smiling face.

The Clayton was a great hotel for a trip with my daughter. Unlike other hotels I looked into, they were able to guarantee us a room with 2 twin beds. The location is so convenient with Trams right outside but also an easy walk to all the key sites. We opted for buffet breakfast that had many options and restaurant is beautiful. Gym is well equipped. All the staff are very helpful. Overall, really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.
