The hotel is in city center, easy to walk around. We walk everywhere. Hotel staff is friendly. When we arrived, our rooms are ready which is a big bonus. They help us to book the night cruise and we like it very much. It was an open boat, it’s cold but we dressed warm so no problem. Overall it’s a good hotel. I will stay there again next time.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Lovely room but could have had better lighting as it was a bit dim. Also poor hairdryer in bathroom, more like just a warm fan. Would have been better to have the hairdryer in the room so someone else can get ready when someone else is in the bathroom.

I held back the fifth star due to the smaller room (not big enough for a chair) and the small, always hectic front desk area, tho, it was really close and the staff were all most gracious. I tried several hotels within the circle and this one was the best overall location, not to mention it’s been a hotel for 155 years and the building is even older - beautiful/stunning. one block from Adam square and the trams and trains. You can always find home at Van Cleve and that can’t be said for the other hotels I happened to choose - worth a lot.
It’s a great place and spot to come back to.

Die Port Van Cleve is a wonderful renovated hotel in the heart of all the action Amsterdam had to offer. The room was clean with an excellent shower. Breakfast buffet was good. There were so many options for bakeries and food in general. It’s in a great spot close the Central Train Station.

We stayed in a junior suite which was a good size, with an ample bathroom (shower over bath). The staff and overall hotel experience were fantastic. When there was a small issue with the room, they were very accommodating - it was dealt with immediately. We are very grateful for our time there and will return when we are in Amsterdam.
